I started painting when I was ten. I’ve always noticed how colors carry emotion and how each shade can change the way something feels. Every piece I make is meant to invite reflection and connection through colour. The following artworks are my favourite out of the many I've made.
Collection - Human Portraits
Each piece begins as a likeness and grows into something deeper, a glimpse of who they are.
My portraits capture quiet, human emotion. I work with soft pastels because they let me build depth through layers of colour. Each face I paint is more than a likeness, it’s a moment of connection.
In this portrait...
I focused on capturing the depth, emotion, and realism of my subject through the use of colour, texture, and light. I worked carefully to depict the skin tone by layering different colours such as oranges, yellows, blues, purples, reds, greens, and pinks to bring vibrancy and depth instead of relying only on brown. The blending of these tones, along with the natural texture of the paper, helped create a realistic look with visible pores and soft highlights. I also adjusted the lighting from the reference photo to add more contrast and make the right side of the face appear less flat. The eyes, which I brightened slightly, express sincerity and curiosity and draw the viewer’s attention as the focal point of the portrait.
This portrait focuses on rendering the intricate shine and depth of jewelry. Layered highlights and color blending were used to create a realistic, three-dimensional effect in the gemstones and metallic details
This piece explores the challenge of portraying the transparency of water using layered shading and smooth blending. The color transitions were carefully built to create a warm, serene atmosphere and natural reflections on the skin.

This portrait is of my grandfather and me, and it’s one of the most personal pieces I’ve created. I wanted to capture his warmth and the gentle way he’s always looked at me, so I used soft blending and warm tones to bring out that sense of closeness.
This piece helped develop an architectural understanding of angles and perspectives. Layered shading and soft color transitions bring out the structure’s depth, while careful attention to light and proportion creates a balanced and realistic sense of space.
Collection - Nature & Wildlife
This pastel drawing of a baby sea turtle uses contrasting lighting to create a lively, playful mood, with cool blue tones on one side and warm orange light on the other adding balance and depth.
The bright, textured skin of the frog contrasts against the soft, blurred background in muted green tones. This contrast brings focus to the frog’s lively expression and natural, dynamic posture.
Commissioned Pet Portraits
This pet portrait was especially detailed and time-consuming, as I focused on capturing the texture of the fur as realistically as possible. The eyes have a sharp, piercing gaze that draws attention and becomes the main focal point of the piece.
My drawing captures a peaceful and tender moment of a sleeping puppy. The soft blending and muted tones bring out the warmth and innocence of the scene, especially the gentle shadows around the fur.
The portrait shows a joyful and expressive dog with bright, lifelike eyes Furthermore, the fur texture and lighting gives the dog’s face a warm and friendly energy that feels full of personality.
This pastel drawing captures the calm rhythm of flowing water over textured rocks. It is evident how the mix of warm earth tones and cool whites makes the movement of the waterfall feel natural and alive.

Imaginative Realism
This painting was part of a school project called “Steal Like an Artist.” The goal was to study and recreate the style of a well-known artist while adding our own interpretation. I chose to mimic Oleg Shupliak’s illusion-style painting, which inspired me to hide a face within my farm landscape.
This imaginative acrylic piece, inspired by the folktale of Thumbelina, combines soft blending techniques in the fabric with subtle 3D elements in the butterflies. The added dimension creates a striking contrast, enhancing the whimsical and magical feel of the artwork.
Collection - Black & White
This pencil and charcoal drawing highlights the character found in everyday wear and tear, turning scuffed surfaces into striking visual details. Embossing tools were used to enhance the texture of the laces and stitching, adding realism and depth to the worn sneakers.

This drawing places opposites together to show how choices shape our habits, good or bad. The carrot as a cigarette highlights the power we have to break unhealthy patterns and choose better ones.
This acrylic painting where the owl blends seamlessly into the tree bark through muted tones and soft textures. Its bright yellow eyes cut through the camouflaged setting, becoming the clear focal point of the piece.
